Informing us about your medication history and what drugs you are currently taking is essential because of dental health effects, potential side effects and possible interactions with drugs the dentist might use during treatment or prescribe. We sometimes prescribe antibiotics with certain dental procedures. But, if you are taking oral contraceptives, be sure to let our dental staff know. People who received frequent dental x-rays in the past have an increased risk of developing the most commonly diagnosed primary brain tumor in the United States. That is the finding of a study published early online in Cancer , a peer-reviewed journal of the American Cancer Society. Drinking alcohol may enhance a person’s problem solving skills, according to a new study.
